Foundry Capabilities

Three modern foundries in two separate buildings provide capacity, flexibility and security of supply to insure that we can deliver what you need when you need it. Non ferrous sand castings from ounces to 3000 Ibs. in bronze and 1200 Ibs. in aluminum.
Moulding
1 Robert Sinto FBO III automatic precision moulding machine with a mould size of 20x24 2 Hunter automatic moulding machines with a mould size of 14x19 1 Hunter automatic moulding machine with a mould size of 18x20 6 Jolt squeeze moulding machines for lower volume matchplate production 4 Rotalift roll over machines for large matchplates No bake floor moulding for castings up to 4000 Ibs.

Core Making
9 Automatic Shalco shell core machines 4 semiautomatic shell core machines C02 and no-bake cores

Melting
15 coreless electric induction furnaces with capabilities from 300 to 2500 Ibs.

Finishing
A wide variety of cutting and grinding equipment along with 8 Wheelabrator shot blast machines provide the most cost effective equipment for each job. For high volume jobs we use trimming dies made in house to provide a more efficient finishing operation without the variability that comes from hand grinding.

Engineering
Our Silicon Graphics Engineering workstation along with CAD and Solidification Simulation software is state-of-the-art. Using Pro/ENGINEER® to create the solid geometry of customers' parts and importing the resulting stereolithography files into MAGMASOFT® Solidification Simulation Software, we are able to optimize the casting process by performing computer simulations of the proposed rigging method.

Potential casting defects can be identified and corrected before any molds are made or metal poured. Changes can be evaluated to improve yield and produce of superior quality castings in a timely, cost-effective manner.
